UNLV REBELS & LAS VEGAS LOCALS TO SHINE AT 2022 SHRINERS CHILDREN’S OPEN

Las Vegas’ annual PGA TOUR event, Shriners Children’s Open, is proud to welcome former UNLV Rebels standouts and Las Vegas locals to this year’s tournament field.

Former Rebels include 2012 Shriners Children’s Open winner, Ryan Moore; member of the 1998 NCAA championship team, Charley Hoffman; Harry Hall; Las Vegas-born Taylor Montgomery, most recently finishing third in the Fortinet Championship; 2020 Olympian Garrick Higgo and Kurt Kitayama, member of the Academic All Mountain West team for three consecutive years with three professional wins.

Las Vegas-based golfers in the tournament field include longtime PGA TOUR professional Scott Piercy; Maverick McNealy, Stanford University graduate and creator of Birdies for Education, raising money for education non-profits; 2010 Big Ten champion David Lipsky; Doug Ghim, former top-ranked golfer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and Justin Suh, 2018 PAC-12 Player of the Year, recently earning full status for the 2022–23 PGA TOUR.
