Second Annual Clash of The Clubs Will Crown The Best Golf Club in The Nation

The right to be called the “Best Golf Club in the Nation” will be up for grabs this fall at the second annual Clash of the Clubs Pro-Am event on Monday, Sept. 30. Clash of the Clubs is held in conjunction with the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. Las Vegas’ only PGA TOUR stop will be held Sept. 30 – Oct. 6 at TPC Summerlin.

In partnership with event creator, Chisum Sports and Hospitality (CSH), the event will kick off on the evening of Sunday, Sept. 29 with a player and pairings party at CLIQUE Bar & Lounge, located at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The Clash of the Clubs will be held on Monday, Sept. 30 and will feature representatives from more than 20 premier golf clubs throughout the United States. Teams will consist of four amateur players and one PGA TOUR professional captain who will compete at TPC Summerlin for prizes and the right to be called the “Best Golf Club in the Nation.”

This year’s event will be hosted by PGA TOUR professionals Charley Hoffman and Ryan Palmer, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting their respective foundations. The Charley Hoffman Foundation raises money and awareness for children’s organizations that provide a positive environment to better their future through education, sports and health. The Charley Hoffman Foundation efforts are focused in Las Vegas and San Diego. Hoffman is a UNLV alumnus, resided in Las Vegas for many years, and is a four-time PGA TOUR winner. He has also played the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open thirteen times. The Ryan Palmer Foundation creates life-change and brighter futures for communities and underserved families by offering access to education, self-care and personal development. Palmer’s dedication to the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open is in loving memory of his late father, Butch, who was a dedicated Shriner. Palmer is a four-time PGA TOUR winner and finished seventh in the 2018 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

“We are very excited to bring back this unique Pro-Am experience that cannot be found anywhere else on the PGA TOUR,” remarked Patrick Lindsey, executive director of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. “Hosting teams from top clubs throughout the nation in a fun and competitive format is the ultimate way to kick off tournament week. Clash of the Clubs is ideal for Las Vegas and TPC Summerlin, a top golf destination.”

The Clash of the Clubs offers numerous opportunities for branding onsite with the tournament and PGA TOUR audience. Proceeds from all sponsorships will benefit the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
